When New Yorkers aren’t yelling or pushing each other, they love to laugh. Sometimes the wit and humor you hear on the streets is entertaining enough. But if you’re searching for some real underground comedy, the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre is here to make you double over. Upcoming and established comics take turns doing stand up, one-man shows, or group sketch comedy. Started by a quartet of comedians in the late 90’s (including Saturday Night Live’s Amy Poehler), they now produce shows every night of the week. And with cheap beer and wine for sale during performances, the UCB is guaranteed to put you in a good mood.
