The Eurostars Plaza Acueducto displays paintings by Ricardo Aparicio

laguna-sona.jpgThe Eurostars Plaza Acueducto (Segovia) presents, through to next 30 March, an exhibition by the Andalusian painter, Ricardo Aparicio. The Segovia establishment displays some twenty paintings in which Aparicio, through the force given off by his colours, searches for a new vision of the reality that surrounds him.

Ricardo Aparicio uses oils for his creations, using different media, such a canvas, wood or hessian. In addition, Aparicio combines natural elements like earth and sand to configure compositions in which colour plays the leading role. Aparicio defends his conviction that “one same tone or colour selection, in addition to giving life to the diversification of the forms that guide you to the global image, will have multiple, differentiated meanings, which will superimpose themselves”. This dominance of colour can be seen in several of the paintings exhibited at the Eurostars Plaza Acueducto, for example: Autumn, Candela or Dreamy Lagoon.

Work by Ricardo Aparicio has travelled to various different individual and shared exhibitions, to galleries such as the Foundation for Art and Artists in Malaga, the Campos Bodegas in Cordova or Casa Manola in Madrid. Moreover, the artist has taken part in the sixth edition of the Biennale Internazionale Dell’Arte Contemporanea, organized in the Italian city of Florence last December. Aparicio’s professional career has also led him to participating in several competitions, like those organized by the Ynglada Guillot Foundation in Barcelona, the Caja Madrid Social Scheme or the 7th edition of the ABC Contemporary Painting Prize.
