King Khan
April 4, 2008
King Khan, the self-named “Maharaja of Soul” from Montreal, launches himself onto Barcelona’s Sala Apolo stage for what promises to be “clashing, clanking Keith, Lou and Iggy flirtatious guitar psychedelica.” He is accompanied by band The Shrines, which includes Mr Speedfinger on guitar. And the occasion? The recent release of a new album: What Is!? March 27, doors open 9.30pm.

Fat Mo’s Pub
April 4, 2008
Located just few metres from the main tourist street of Budapest, this speakeasy pub offers the atmosphere of prohibition-era America of 1920s and 30s.
With selection of 11 beers on tap, Hungarian wines and long list of cocktails Fat Mo’s is just the place to violate the dry law. Fat Mo’s features very decent Tex-Mex cuisine, and offers good choice of meats and salads.
The best jazz, blues and r’n’b bands perform every night from 21:00, and Thursday through Saturday the guests party till dawn. It is also the place to enjoy the sporting events on the wide-screen.
The crowd here is a mix of well-fixed locals, tourists and expats – cheerful and folksy.

Joaquín Cortés
March 10, 2008
Joaquín Cortés, devilishly handsome and dressed by Jean Paul Gaultier, indulges in a frenetic show of foot-stamping, sweat-spurting, shamelessly attention-seeking flamenco dance with interludes of rapturous applause from the audience. With his private clan of musicians and singers to frame him, JC attains new heights in Latino kitch in this highly theatrical performance entitled Mi Soledad (My Solitude). Leave your boyfriend at home. O-lé. Tickets are €20-€58

Alicia Keys
March 10, 2008
Wallet? Keys? Hopes and Dreams?
She’s hot, intelligent AND she can sing? These three virtues, rarely experienced together (however much they try to make us believe it), intermingle and explode in the lovely Alicia Keys. Go and hear her in action on March 16th. The venue is Pavelló Olímpic de Badalona (Barcelona) NB. This is NOT the Olympic stadium on Montjuïc, but a 12,500-seater basketball stadium slightly out of town. The show starts at 9pm and you have the added pleasure of getting out at a Metro station called Gorg.

The Charlatans
February 14, 2008
From Manchester with love. The Charlatans are a piece of British musical history and finally they’re starting their brand-new European tour. The only Italian date will be tonight in Milano at Magazzini Generali. Their musical trip around Europe will arrive before their new album “Oh Vanity” becomes available only for web. From the 3th of March will be possible to listen to “You cross my path” for free on the radio, at www.xfm.co.uk. We really appreciate that those guys are using the web like teenagers, but let’s make it clear “We prefer to see you live!”.

Bohemian Carnevale
February 4, 2008

Masopust, the Czech answer to Carnival, has traditionally been a grubby affair focused on beer and fresh pork products. Bohemian Carnevale, however, is an anachronism which eschews the rural folk traditions of Masopust for a more urbane festival evoking the carnival of Venice, complete with elaborate masquerade balls and commedia dell’arte performances. Local restaurants, bars and cafes are participating in a carnival food festival, costumes and masks will be available for rent at carnival venues, and there’s even a special children’s programme. The event runs from 31 January to 5 February at the Clam-Gallas Palace and other locations throughout Prague’s centre. See the complete schedule of festivities here. Read more
