Carlos Codoñer makes the walls of the Eurostars Gran Valencia vibrate with passion
February 26, 2008
The Eurostars Gran Valencia presents, through to 10 April, an exhibition devoted to Carlos Codoñer (Valencia, 1965). The exhibition comprises fifteen paintings in which the painter transmits his passion for the human being and his environment.
Carlos Codoñer presents a collection of paintings at the Eurostars Gran Valencia, with the focus, by themes, on “the energy transmitted by the human being”, a clear allusion and tribute to the influence of the Renaissance artists. “In this work, what stands out is the strength and passion of mankind for life, art or culture”, asserts Codoñer, who adds that the angle used in this artwork “contributes a positive and encouraging image of the individual who forms part of society”.
With a degree in Fine Arts by the S. Carlos Faculty of Valencia, Carlos Codoñer has been the leading figure in various individual exhibitions with his paintings and sculptures. Indeed, many of his creations are on permanent exhibition at the Paz Tejón Gallery and the Contenedor de Arte Gallery in Valencia. This artist also has work on show at the Babel Gallery and American Prints. With regard to shared exhibitions, Codoñer took part, amongst others, in “Lost Memory” (GAIA Exhibition Room, Valencia, 2006), in “Human Fragments” (La Gula Showroom, Valencia, 2006) and in “Urban Fragments” (Contraseña Gallery, Valencia, 2005). Additionally, Codoñer has also collaborated as a sculptor in exhibitions such as the 16th edition of the Spring Show (1989, organized by the Valencia Caja de Ahorros Savings Bank) or the VII Biennale of Sculpture of the Town of Paterna (1997).
