Blanca Carnicero’s colourful paintings arrive at the Eurostars Cristal Palace

If there is something that characterizes paintings by Blanca Carnicero, without any doubt it is the spectacular use she makes of colour. Vibrant colours, without rules or styles in their composition. Abstract canvases which do their best to draw the greatest emotion from the palette. A fascinating proposition, on show from 24 July to 7 September at the Eurostars Cristal Palace in Barcelona.
Blanca Carnicero’s work focuses on the “expressive possibilities of colour, which immediately reaches the emotions”, as the artist herself explains since, when it comes to the creating process, the basis is her own feelings, intuition and states of mind. The luminescence that emanates from the colours give the work life and absorb one’s attention, as much in the most subtle nuances as in the most daring pieces.
Blanca Carnicero began her artistic career in 1990, when as a self-taught painter, she first started to create her work. After receiving training in painting and drawing, her work began to be displayed in different exhibitions, such as the “Textile Evocations”, a collective exhibition (Sant Cugat del Vallès, 2007) or the individual shows at the “Galería Original Espai Artístic, Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona, 2006) and the “Castellano-Leonés” cultural centre in Tarragon (2007).
