The 8th edition of the International Documentaries Festival in Barcelona Docúpolis starts with great expectation. The event rises big novelties - up to 47 films in competition - and with a hint of the past. This year the selection “retrospectives” is dedicated to Mexico (6 documentaries produced in Mexico will be shown), and to the Peruvian Director Javier Corcuera.
‘Los colores de África’ by Temoris Grecko wins the 4th edition of the Eurostars Hotels Travel Narrative Award

“The Colors of Africa: a chronicle of an encounter with the people of South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya”, by the young writer and traveller from Mexico, Témoris Grecko, is the winner of the 4th edition of the Eurostars Hotels Travel Narrative Award, an event organized by the Hotusa Group in conjunction with the publishers RBA Libros and Barcelona University. The manuscript will be distributed free of charge in the hotel rooms of the Eurostars chain. In addition to this, the winning book will be published in a sales version for bookshops by RBA Libros, to be ready for sale in early 2009.

It´s a simple recipe. From the 1st October to the 10th November, the Eurostars Laietana Palace 4* in Barcelona presents an exhibition in charge of Fabrizio Bianchini. It is a show in which the artist presents pictures of two of his collections. A group of paintings which need to be highlighted his avant-garde blunt lines, the intensive use of colors, the revolutionary forms and his introspective character.
